I’m pleased to let you know that we’re doing a weekly session of Naada Yoga at Harmony Yoga Center in Maitland. Some of you have been asking for more regular practice, and a location a little closer to Orlando. Thanks to Christina Prieto, we started our new classes at this great location. Please come join us, and find out what this ancient form of Yoga practice can bring into your life!
Join us this week on Sunday, June 8th at 4PM.
Naada means sound, yoga means union. Naada yoga uses sound (primarily your voice) to create a state of unity and balance between mind, body, and spirit, and also to create a union of the individual self with the Universal self. Unlike other forms of yoga, Naada Yoga doesn’t involve physical exercise and is suitable for anyone, regardless of physical ability.
Musical experience or ability isn’t required. We’re all innately musical anyway. If you can breathe and have a heartbeat, you can do Naada Yoga.
Naada yoga classes last about ninety minutes. In the first half, we work with prana (vital energy) by chanting and singing tonal sounds along with a drone instrument. The focus is on using the vibrations of sound to move energy through the chakras. Once you learn a few basic techniques you can practice this yoga any time.

What a beautiful evening, playing and chanting with Girish at Altamonte Springs Yoga. Thanks to everyone who came, and thanks to Girish for inviting me to play and giving me a chance to stretch my bass chops a little. Also thanks to Diane for taking such kewl pics.

We’re getting some great response to “Gathering”. It has been reviewed in the New Age Retailer magazine, and also got a nice review in Natural Awakenings magazine, and lots of positive feedback from listeners all over the world. If you’d like to add your comments, please email them to me or log on to CDBaby.com and leave a review. This album of yoga music features a number of very talented musicians, singers, and chanters. It’s the kind of music that you put in your player and just hit the repeat button. I’ve posted samples of all the tracks, and the music is available on CDBaby.com, iTunes, Amazon, and other online sites . Of course you can also buy it direct from me – I’ll be happy to send you a signed copy if you’d like. It’s also available in the Orlando area at Good Vibration Yoga in Sanford, Kathmandu in Winter Park, Lotus Yoga Center in Apopka, and Spiral Circle Bookstore in Orlando. We also have some beautiful, high quality tee shirts in an assortment of colors and sizes with the album graphics on them. Be the first on your block!
